Rise & Serve is a programme that provides hands-on experience where young people work together to design, build, and run their own pop-up restaurant for one night. From the first spark of an idea to the moment guests walk through the door, you’ll be involved in every step.
Delivered in quality hospitality venues the programme gives you the chance to try real hospitality roles, learn new skills, and discover what you’re capable of – all in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Why This Event Exists
Young people face real challenges today – barriers, uncertainty, and a lack of opportunities that feel meaningful. Rise & Serve was created to change that.
The programme gives you the chance to be part of something real. Not a classroom. Not a worksheet. A genuine project where your voice matters, your ideas shape the outcome, and your effort leads to something you can be proud of.
It’s practical, creative, and built around the belief that every young person has potential worth investing in.
What You’ll Experience
Over the duration of the programme you’ll work together as one team to create a real pop-up event – from the first idea to the final service. You’ll try out different parts of hospitality, discover what you enjoy, and build confidence as you go.
- Help design and run a one-night pop-up restaurant
- Get involved in planning, menus, marketing, set-up, and service
- Work with supportive coaches and industry professionals
- Build confidence by taking on real responsibility
- Develop teamwork, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Explore the many different careers and roles within hospitality
Each session is friendly, flexible, and fully supported. Lunch is provided, and travel support is available if you need it.

Rise & Serve is open to all young people, especially those who may be:
- Not in education, employment, or training (NEET)
- Neurodivergent or facing hidden barriers
- Unsure about the right next step
- Looking for a chance to rebuild confidence
- Curious about trying something new in a supportive environment
No experience is needed. You’ll be supported throughout by friendly coaches who understand the challenges young people face.

Time: 1 day per week for 8 weeks

Cost: Completely free
