Hospitality: The Leaders of Tomorrow is a bold, high-energy, one-day event created for and by young people working in hospitality and tourism across York and North Yorkshire. Taking place at the fantastic Rudding Park, it’s all about celebrating the next generation of talent, building skills, confidence and connections, and showing pride in a sector that powers our regional economy.
Funded by, and in partnership with, the York & North Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) and delivered by the Hospitality Junior Board (HJB), this exciting new conference puts young people at the heart of hospitality’s future.

Why this event matters
Hospitality is one of Yorkshire’s biggest employers and the beating heart of our visitor economy – yet many under-30s working in the industry lack access to development, networks, and recognition. This event changes that. It’s designed to give young people the tools, community, and inspiration they need to thrive.
Through a mix of interactive workshops, powerful talks and peer-led sessions, we’ll explore the real stories of hospitality – from resilience and personal branding to teamwork, leadership and the mental health realities of the sector. It’s a space where emerging professionals can connect, learn, and take pride in being part of something bigger.
What to expect
On the day, delegates will experience a programme that’s dynamic and practical – not another “sit and listen” conference.
Expect honest conversations, inspiring stories, hands-on sessions, and opportunities to meet others shaping the future of the industry.

Who it’s for
This event is open to anyone under 30 working in hospitality or tourism across York and North Yorkshire –
whether you’re just starting out, building your career, or leading a team.
Employers and industry leaders are also encouraged to nominate or support young people in their teams to
attend and be part of the experience.
We’re expecting 100–125 delegates, so spaces are limited.
